How do I create a report?

To create a report follow the below instructions.

1. Sign into your HoodQ account.
 
2. Start typing the address for the report. When the address appears below the search bar, click it. If the address does not appear, keep typing more of the address, including the city and the postal code.
 
3. Your HoodQ  Report will appear in seconds. To change the report type click the desired type in the left side menu.

How do I add, change or remove my photo from my reports?

To ADD or CHANGE Your Photo:
1. Sign into your HoodQ account and click "My Account" in the left side menu.
2. Click the link under "Edit Profile".
3. Click on the "Choose File" button beside "Your Photo" and then select your photo. Valid formats for the photos are png, jpg, jpeg with a maximum file size of 5MB.

To REMOVE Your Photo:

Question 3

How do I save a report? It only gives me the option to print.

Accepted Answer

Once you've created a report, to save it, simply click SAVE & PRINT in the left side menu. What happens next depends on the browser you're using. Below are instructions for some common web browsers. For the best user experience, we recommend using Google Chrome.

Using Google Chrome:
1. Click “Save & Print” from the left menu 
2. Change the “Destination” dropdown to “Save as  PDF”
3. Click “Save” and choose where on your computer to save the PDF

Using Safari:
1. Click “Save & Print” from the left menu 
2. Click the arrow beside “PDF” located at the bottom of the window
3. Click “Save as PDF” from the dropdown menu
4. Click “Save” and choose where on your computer to save the PDF

Using Edge:
1. Click “Save & Print” from the left menu
2. Change the “Printer” dropdown to “Save as PDF”
3. Click “Save” and choose where on your computer to save the PDF

How do I print a report?

Once you've created a report, to print it, simply click "Save & Print" in the left side menu. What happens next, depends on the browser you're using. Below are instructions for the most common web browsers - Google Chrome, Safari and Edge. For the best HoodQ user experience, we recommend using Google Chrome.
For Google Chrome:
1. Click "Print".
2. If you do not see the option to Print, click "Change Destination".
3. Then select the printer that you want to use.

For Safari:
1. Look in the list of printers and choose your printer.
2. Click "Print".

For Edge:
1. Look in the list of printers and choose your printer.
2. Click "Print".

How do I share a report by email, Facebook, or X (Twitter)?

Accepted Answer

Because HoodQ reports are web-based, they can easily be shared with clients and colleagues -- and your photo and contact information on the top right corner of your reports will stay intact no matter how many times the link to your reports is shared.
 
To Share a Report By Email:
1. After you've created a report, to share it by email, click "Share" in the left side menu, or click the envelope icon beside the word "Share". A link to your report will appear.
2. Copy the link and paste it into an email.
 
To Share a Report On Facebook:
1. After you've created a report, to share it on Facebook, click the Facebook icon located in the left side menu beside the word "Share". 
2. If you are not logged into Facebook, log in now.
3. Click on where you would like to share the report -- Timeline, Someone Else's Timeline, A Page You Manage, A Private Message.
4. Write an introductory message to the link, encouraging people to click the link that will take them to your report.
5. Share it.

To Share a Report On X (Twitter):
1. After you've created a report, to share it on Twitter, click the Twitter icon located in the left side menu beside the word "Share".
2. If you are not logged into Twitter, log in now.
3. A pre-written message will appear that you can modify. A link to the report will automatically be included in the message.
4. Change the message any way that you would like, and click "Tweet".

Question 6

I can't get a report to load. What can I do?

Accepted Answer

If you are unable to load a report, one of the following troubleshooting tips usually works:

1. Try doing a "hard refresh". A hard refresh is done by holding down the CONTROL button while clicking the refresh icon of your browser.
2. Clear the cache of your browser.
3. Sign out of your HoodQ account, and then sign back in.

Question 7

I get an error message when generating a report. What can I do?

Accepted Answer

If you get an error message when generating a report troubleshoot with the following:
1. Wait some time and try the address again
2. Check that the spelling and spacing of the address is correct
3. Look up the address in Google Maps, and then copy and paste in the full address as shown in Google Maps

Question 8

When I type in the address for my report, it is not showing up. What can I do?

If your desired address is not showing up in the dropdown troubleshoot with the following:
1. Check that the spelling and spacing of the address is correct
2. Type in more of the address, including city and postal code
3. Look up the address in Google Maps, and then copy and paste in the full address as shown in Google Maps

How do I change my email address?

Accepted Answer

Since your HoodQ Account is associated with the email you used at the time of signing up for HoodQ, a customer service representative will need to change your email address for you. To submit your request, please fill out the form on this page. You will be notified when your email has been changed. After that point, you will need to sign into HoodQ with your new email address.

I can't sign into my HoodQ account. What can I do?

If you're unable to sign into your HoodQ account, you can troubleshoot with the following tips:
1. Ensure that you are signing in with the same email address you used to set up your HoodQ account. If you’re not sure which email you used, fill out the technical support form below and we can tell you.
2. If you've forgotten your password, enter your email address and click "Forgot Password". You will receive an email with instructions to create a new password.
3. Try doing a "hard refresh" from the sign in page. A hard refresh is done by holding down the CONTROL button while clicking the refresh symbol in your browser.
4. If none of the above work, please fill in the form on the bottom of this page and someone from our Technical Support team will help.

Question 11

When I print my report, it is printing information (the URL/file/date/etc). How do I print my report without that?

Accepted Answer

If this is happening, it means the issue is on your end with how your printer settings are set up.
 
Tip: you have your printer settings selected to Show Headers and Footers. Deselect that option and your reports will no longer display that information.
